James & Katie’s Ingestre Hall Wedding – Staffordshire
James and Katie held their wedding ceremony at the stunning St Mary the Virgin Church in Ingestre, which is steeped in history (of which I won’t bore you with but definitely go and check it out) and they held their reception at Ingestre hall in Staffordshire. This was a first time for me, photographing in either location and I was pretty impressed by the grandness and beauty of them both.
Staffordshire Wedding Photography
Being Staffordshire based I’m lucky enough to get to photograph weddings in a lot of gorgeous, local venues and yet somehow Ingestre Hall has passed me by up until this point. Katie and James chose the location mainly for the Church which is stunning and the fact that the folks at Ingestre Hall pretty much leave you to it, enabling the hall to be like a blank canvas for you to make your own mark. That’s pretty cool!
My style and approach to natural wedding photography really suited Katie and James who confessed to not liking the thought of being the centre of attention due to them being a little shy (I totally get it). As usual I stayed out of couple’s way, allowing them to enjoy their wedding day and when it came to creating some portraits of the bride and groom, I made it as natural and as comfortable as possible.
These guys were a pleasure to photograph and I also look forward to shooting more natural and relaxed weddings at Ingestre Hall in the near future.
